This special program, funded by the Hogan Family Foundation, opened its doors less than nine years ago, launching its subsequent graduation ceremonies in the Mystical Rose Oratory.
Our objectives over these years have changed little, but our execution has been improved dramatically – thanks to the immense support received from the business and leadership community of Hawaii.
The Hogan Entrepreneurial Program is open to all full time Chaminade juniors, seniors, and graduate students. Since its inception in 2002, the program has graduated more than 200 student entrepreneurs.
On April, 21, 2010 our program held its annual induction and graduation ceremony at 10:00 a.m. in the Mystical Rose Oratory. There were 31 students who graduated from the program and 33 inducted. Of those who graduated, one student received the Outstanding Hogan Award – the highest award granted by the program annually, to the student who best embodies the spirit and purpose of the program: in academic achievement, in leadership, in attitude and in commitment to service. This student also consistently embraces the spirit of the program through his or her earnestness and enthusiasm for the underlying values of the program. This year’s award was given to Rechung Fujihira from Honolulu, Hawaii an International Studies major.
Other award winners were:

This program is designed to equip students to hit the ground running when they leave Chaminade, with new skills, extensive connections, and the mind set to start new things wherever their careers may lead them.
Open to all majors and undergraduates as well as graduate students, (not just business majors,) we recognize that any graduate has the potential to start something new. New ideas that contribute to society and the well-being of communities benefit everyone, but also can make for successful, thriving businesses. This is the variety of entrepreneurial spirit we cultivate in our program. Our motto is "Doing business things that make social sense. Doing social things that make business sense."
In this program, students learn first-hand from experienced Hawai'i business leaders and entrepreneurs about the business of getting a new idea up and running. This involves:
The Hogan Program is a 1 year or 2 year certificate program.
