A top choice: Chaminade University has become a top destination for Hawaii undergraduates in the sciences. In terms of scale, we have a small Division of Natural Sciences and Mathematics but it is active, dynamic and very focused on student achievement, as these recent graduates can attest.
Research internships in the life sciences: Our bioscience students benefit from excellent internship opportunities (for qualifying students.) Many students spend summers in paid internships at renowned research institutions on the mainland. Research opportunities are also available at our Chaminade labs and with agreements with other institutions in Honolulu. This gives our students a breadth of hands-on experience.
Pre-med early admission: Agreements between Chaminade and several medical schools mean that qualifying pre-med students at Chaminade have the opportunity to pursue early admission to medical school as early as their sophomore year.
Top forensics sciences degree program: Our undergraduate forensic sciences degree program is one of a handful of truly rigorous, four year programs in the country. Our students intern at local government and military agencies in their senior year.
Completely renovated modern labs and equipment: This year we are proud to celebrate the culmination of three years work of renovating all science labs, which are now state-of-the art.
New nursing program: After years of planning, fundraising, groundwork, and facilities renovation, our new nursing school welcomes the inaugural incoming class in fall of 2010.
