Welcome to Academic Advising and Study Abroad! This is where to find all the information you need to help you make informed decisions about your college education.

Our mission is to provide a smooth academic transition to Chaminade University for all first-year freshmen and incoming transfer students, as well as provide assistance to continuing undergraduate students.

Advisors are available on a walk-in basis or by appointment, and are dedicated to helping students develop and attain educational goals that reflect career interest and planning.

Advisors provide academic and personal counseling that include the following services:

  • Assisting students in making a smooth transition from their high school or transfer college.

  • Providing academic counseling to explain and clarify requirements for graduation, including helping them through the registration process.

  • Assisting students establish educational, life and career goals by helping them select courses that reflect their interests and abilities.

  • Assisting students in maintaining good academic standing by monitoring and informing them of academic progress throughout the semester, and referring them to the Academic Achievement Program for tutorial services if needed.

  • Providing personal counseling to help students overcome and cope with personal issues as they relate to academic progress.

  • Providing guidance and assistance to students who are preparing to transfer to another college or university.
  • Providing information on Study Abroad and assisting with the application process.
