Is financial aid available?
Please note, the types of financial aid you are awarded for the academic year is best used for the academic year rather than Summer Bridge. The regular academic year is more expensive. If you need financial aid for Summer Bridge as well, be advised the best course may be a parent loan or private alternative loan. If you are considering using your school loans for the Summer Bridge session, be sure to contact the Financial Aid department.
Make sure you have applied for financial aid for the regular academic year (fall and spring semesters). Both federal aid and much of our own institutional aid are determined by the FAFSA. You need to complete the Free Application for Federal Student AID (FAFSA) online at http://www.fafsa.ed.gov/ in order to be eligible for federal financial aid. An Academic Achievement Program (AAP) Scholarship may be available to eligible students. Complete the AAP Intake forms to apply for this scholarship which will go towards the cost of room and board. The deadline to apply for the AAP Summer Bridge scholarship is June 1. All Summer Bridge forms (see checklist) must be submitted to be considered for this scholarship.
