Is housing mandatory for Summer Bridge?
No. We have many students that commute.

How can I apply to Chaminade housing for the summer?
You must submit a completed Housing Application/Contract and a $300 deposit along with all other
mandatory Summer Bridge registration forms. Find links to all forms here.

Do I need health insurance for housing?
Yes. Students must show proof of current health insurance or purchase the University health plan to
be eligible to stay in Chaminade housing.

Where can I get more information on Chaminade housing during Summer Bridge?

What is the housing situation like?
During Summer Bridge, you will be sharing a double room. Housing will be in the Hale Pohaku Residence Hall.

Will I have to move into another room for the Fall?
If you have selected Hale Pōhaku for the Fall, we will do our best to place you there so that you will
not have to move.

When can I check in to the residence hall?
You must check-in on Saturday, July 12th to the Hale Pōhaku Residence Hall with a Residential
Assistant. We would like to know when you will arrive. Please fill out the Chaminade Flight Information and Shuttle Request form by Thursday, July 3rd and fax or mail to us:

What if I arrive before July 12th?
You will be responsible for finding your own accommodations if you arrive earlier than the scheduled
check-in day. Therefore, we highly encourage you to book your flight to arrive on Saturday July 12th.
