Is housing mandatory for Summer Bridge?
No. We have many students that commute.

How can I apply to Chaminade housing for the summer?
You must submit a completed Housing Application/Contract and a $300 deposit along with all other mandatory Summer Bridge registration forms.   Find links to all forms here.

Do I need health insurance for housing?
Yes. Students must show proof of current health insurance or purchase the University health plan to be eligible to stay in Chaminade housing.

What is the housing situation like?
During Summer Bridge, you will be sharing a double room.  Housing will be in the Hale Pohaku Residence Hall.

Will I have to move into another room for the Fall?
If you have chosen Pohaku as your choice for the Fall, we will do our best to place you so that you will not have to move.

When can I check in to the residence hall?
You must check in on Saturday, July 13th to the Hale Pohaku Residence Hall with a Residential Assistant. We would like to know when you will arrive. Please fill out the Chaminade Flight Information and Shuttle Request form by Friday July 5, and fax or mail to us:

What if I arrive before July 13th?
You will be responsible for finding your own accommodations if you arrive earlier than the check-in day. Therefore, we highly encourage you to book your flight to arrive on Saturday July 13th.
