For over 40 years, Chaminade University has been serving members of the armed forces, their families and other working adults, offering accelerated evening and weekend programs for all who wish to further their education.

In 1967 Chaminade University began offering accelerated evening and weekend programs for members of the armed forces, their families and other working adults who wished to pursue degrees or take courses of interest.
Accelerated courses are offered in four semesters beginning January, April, July and October. Each semester is 10 weeks long. Selected courses are offered during intensive sessions between the 10-week semesters. A large selection of online classes are also available.
After military funding for tuition assistance was reinstated last week, the Adult Evening and Online Program (AEOP) added new 5 and 7-week classes for Spring term, to begin Monday, April 22. The added courses will be offered both online and in class at Hickam, Schofield, Tripler and Kaneohe. Check the new schedule for days and times. Questions? Contact Kimberly Keys, 808-735-4766.
Courses are offered at Hickam Air Force Base, Kaneohe Marine Corps Base, Pearl Harbor Naval Base, Schofield Barracks, Tripler Army Medical Center, and Leeward Community College.
Nonmilitary students may attend Chaminade University courses on military installation on a space available basis. Classes are also offered at Holy Family Catholic Academy near the airport.

A high school transcript or GED certificate is required if the student has less than 24 semester hours of college credit. All college transcripts should be sent to Chaminade University once an application has been completed.
Transfer credit from accredited colleges or universities may be accepted for prior college work. Students who are serving, or who have served in the armed forces of the United States, may be granted college credit for military training evaluated by the American Council on Education. Such credit is limited to 30 semester hours. Students may receive credit for CLEP and DANTES examinations, provided the subject matter of the exam has not been covered by a prior course. A maximum of 30 semester hours of credit may be granted. CLEP general examinations must be taken prior to completing the first year of study. Current tuition rates for classes in the Evening & Weekend Undergraduate Programs are $218 per semester hour for lower division courses (100 and 200 level) and $218 per semester hour for upper division courses (300 and 400 level). Each online course is subject to a technology fee of $93 ($40 for hybrid courses). Tuition must be paid by the first day of the term or be enrolled in the tuition management system payment plan. If student is using military tuition assistance, veteran benefits, or financial aid, he/she will be excluded.
Second and subsequent immediate family members concurrently enrolled in Adult Evening and Online Programs are eligible for a 25% tuition discount.
Established in 1972, SOC is a consortium of national higher education associations with more than 1,700 institutional members. SOC Consortium institutional members subscribe to common principles and criteria to ensure that quality academic programs are available to military students, their family members, civilian employees of the Department of Defense (DoD) and Coast Guard, and veterans. The SOC Degree Network System (DNS) consists of a subset of SOC Consortium member institutions selected by the military Services to deliver specific Associate and Bachelor's degree programs to servicemembers and their families. Institutional members of the SOC DNS agree to special requirements and obligations that provide military students, their spouses and college-age children with opportunities to complete college degrees without suffering loss of academic credit due to changes of duty station.
SOC operates the 2- and 4-year Degree Network System for the Army (SOCAD), Navy (SOCNAV), Marine Corps (SOCMAR), and Coast Guard (SOCCOAST).
