Military Base Information for Evening Classes

MILITARY BASE SECURITY & PARKING – PLEASE CALL THE SITE OFFICE BEFORE PICKING UP YOUR PASS

Non-military students wishing to attend Chaminade University classes held on military bases are welcome on a space-available basis. Early registration is recommended to insure admittance to both the class and the respective military base. Access to some Military bases may not be possible due to increased security conditions. Students are reminded they are guests on all military sites and are required to conform to all base rules and regulations while there. Seat belts must be worn at all times, speed limits and any other restrictions must be obeyed. Motorcycle and moped operators and passengers must wear a helmet and reflective vest.

Hickam Air Force Base (Subject to Change)

Please fill out the application for all vehicle passes for contractors/vendors/employees/visitors. All information must be type; Last, First, Middle names, SSN.

Submit current vehicle registration, safety inspection, certificate of automobile insurance and driver's license and or other form of picture identification for vehicle(s) and driver(s) when requesting badges. This letter must be received by Pass and Registration 10 days prior to issuing badges. Personnel must pick up their badges within 30 days of the date on this letter. Form will ask for name and place and date of birth. All IDs will take 10 days to process.

Schofield Army Barracks & Tripler Army Medical Center

Installation Access Pass (IAP) Identification Cards Office Information
The IAP ID card enables access only to the ID card holder onto army in Hawaii installations under current Threatcon conditions. The IAP ID card does not allow sponsorship of other guests onto the installations. IAP ID cards include contractor (green) cards, House guest (Gold) cards, and Friends of MWR/visitor (Blue) cards. With proper documents, the IAP Offices are also able to accommodate our client request to register a privately owned vehicle onto the installations.

Army: All faculty and students who do not have a military ID card must get an Installation Access Pass card, issued by the Army in order to enter Schofield Barracks and Tripler Army Medical Center. The application for a IAP card is available at all sites. Any civilian student wishing to take classes on Army military installations is required to complete this application. Students must complete the applicant information section at the top and sign where it says applicant signature near the bottom of the form. Once the student has filled in his or her portion, please forward the ORIGINAL copy to Schofield Barracks or Tripler AMC for the remaining information to be completed by the issuing office. FAX copies are not accepted. The pass application will take approximately 14 business days to process once it has been mailed or delivered to the Schofield or Tripler AMC offices.

IAP Office Location
ake H-2 north towards Wahiawa, exit at #7, Mililani Tech Park and Wheeler AAF. Turn right at stop sign at the end of the exit ramp. Make an immediate left into Leilehua Golf Course gates (large white iron gates). The IAP Office - Building Number 608, located at the far end of the parking lot.

Hours of Operation
Monday through Friday, 0900 - 1530. Closed on Holidays.

IAP Identification Requirements
All personnel must have in their possession: a Photographic Identification Card (drivers license is accepted) and an original Social Security Card.

Document Requirements to Register a Privately owned Vehicle (POV)
All personnel must have:

  • A valid driver's license
  • Valid POV vehicle registration (not a company owned vehicle)
  • Current vehicle safety check
  • Current vehicle insurance

Marines (Camp Smith & Kaneohe Marine Corps Base)

We will need at least a week to get term passes; otherwise we can only get a one day pass. Students need to call our office and provide their full name & social – we will verify that they are in the classes via datatel and then a letter will be sent to the Joint Education Center. All pass letters must come from Joint Education Center. We will send the instructors' pass letters about three weeks prior to the start of the term.

Navy (Pearl Harbor)

Pearl Harbor is restricted to personnel who already have access to the base.
