What should I expect after I apply?
Applications are processed with 48 hours of receipt. An acceptance letter containing the student’s ID# will be mailed to the student, along with registration, advisor and other pertinent information. Application payment cannot be submitted
until the application has been processed.
What is the difference between the Portal, WebAdvisor and eCollege?
The portal is the system that allows you to access your academic record, the campus calendar and campus announcements.
WebAdvisor is a system that allows you to register for classes, access your student account, view unofficial transcripts, advisor information and financial aid information/status. You can access WebAdvisor by either logging in to portal.chaminade.edu, or by visiting webadvisor.chaminade.edu.
eCollege is the program used to access and deliver online courses.
How do I request a transcript?
Official transcripts can be obtained from the Records Office by submitting a transcripts request form in person, by mail or fax. The transcript request form and additional information can be found here. The transcript request form can also be accessed through the portal and webadvisor. Click "Academic Profile" then "Transcript Request".
When choosing classes is it best to concentrate on my major courses first?
It is best to register for the major courses first and balance the rest of your course load with general education courses. This should make it possible for student to maintain a part-time or full-time load - whichever is desired.
How do I register?
Registration is done through WebAdvisor.
How do I apply for Financial Aid?
You may apply online for financial aid at www.chaminade.edu/financial_aid. You may also contact the Financial Aid Office at (808) 735-4780. The Chaminade school code is 001605.
What should I expect as graduation nears?
Your advisor will submit a graduation clearance on your behalf to the Records Office when you are within two terms of degree completion. The Records Office will mail a copy of the graduation clearance along with a petition to graduate form as graduation nears. The petition to graduate must be submitted along with the graduation fee directly to the Records Office by the deadline indicated on the form. Information regarding cap & gown, announcements and commencement date and time will be mailed to you shortly
thereafter. Commencement ceremonies are held in December and May of each academic year.
How do I order textbooks?
You may order books in person or online at bookstore.chaminade.edu. The booklist can be accessed online. Book orders can take up to 5 days to receive, so please plan accordingly.
When is tuition due?
Tuition is due on the first day of the term.
Where do I find the schedule?
Students can either pick up a hard copy of the schedule at any of our off campus sites or at our main campus office. The schedule can also be access online at www.chaminade.edu/aeop. See blue box, "Select a campus to view a schedule".
Is the Adult Evening & Online Program only for military students?
No, civilian students may attend classes at any of the military installations. They are required to contact each base coordinator upon registration to determine what steps they need to take in order to obtain passes for each location. Some locations are time sensitive and it is the student’s responsibility to be proactive in obtaining their pass."
How do I check my grades?
Grades can be viewed in webportal by accessing webadvsior then click on "academic profile" then "grades". Select the term that you wish to view.
