Be-Jay Kodama '86

Meet our Director of Alumni Relations

As a graduate of Chaminade University, Be-Jay Kodama returned in 2004 as the Director of Alumni Relations. She is responsible for the Alumni Relations program. In her role she develops ways to engage alumni through various events, programs and services. She is in charge of correspondence and communication to alumni which includes the alumni social media platforms. As the director, she also develops internal and external partnerships, participates in community outreach, and recruits and manages alumni volunteers.

Prior to her time as the Director of Alumni Relations, she worked in both Radio (KSSK) and Television (KGMB) for a combined 20 years. At KSSK Radio she was the Promotions Director and the Producer of the Perry & Price "Live" Broadcast Show on Saturdays. While at KGMB, a CBS Affiliate, she worked as the Marketing Coordinator. Through her work at KSSK and KGMB, Be-Jay worked with many business leaders, community leaders and entertainers from both Hawaii and the mainland.

She received her undergraduate degree from Chaminade in 1986. As a student she was active as a student leader being the Vice President of Student Government and a Chaminade Silversword Cheerleader. During her senior year, she received the Outstanding Student Award from the Alumni Association. In 2010 she received the Marianist Award presented to a Chaminade staff member who exhibits an extraordinary commitment to the Marianist value of family spirit and someone whose traits express hospitality, graciousness, and faith in a loving God. She is currently in progress of obtaining a Master in Business Administration.
