“Chaminade was a great experience for me. It enabled me to get my education while on active duty in the military. I am currently working for the Navy as a combat photojournalist based out of San Diego. Recently, I went on assignment to Afghanistan and other parts of Southwest Asia to cover Operation Enduring Freedom and our nation’s war on terrorism. My education at Chaminade has no doubt made me better at my job but also more well-rounded as a person. I hope to come back to Chaminade some day to pursue my Master’s degree.”

We are both very much in love and making trips back and forth to see each other. We just wanted to let everyone know what is going on and that we miss everyone in Hawaii.” “Both Matthew Morgan and I got married on February 27, 2005 at the Sheraton Moana Surfrider hotel with our family and friends in attendance.”

“I currently work in San Francisco as an administrator with a large, nationwide company. I was a clinical supervisor in a methadone clinic when I first moved up here. My favorite instructors were Ken Burtness and Bob Santee. Bob Santee was quite the character! He made us do Tai Chi all the time in the courtyard. They were in the Psych program. Dorothy Goldsborough was also a riot. She really raked me over the coals while I worked on my research on undercover police officers. Since publishing the research on the Internet, I get e-mails from all over the world … different law enforcement officers, the FBI and what not. I am sure D. Goldsborough would have a good laugh over that! I can’t think of any other stories at the moment but Chaminade is one of my favorite places … I met lots of great people and enjoyed the academics.”

It was good to see President Sue and the others when they were down here a couple of months ago. I am currently employed with the Attorney General’s Office in American Samoa as a Paralegal/Parole Officer. The work here is alright, it’s just a little slower than it is in ALOHALAND, but it’s home and I’m happy to be home. Someday, I would like to go back for my MA … we’ll see. I have four kids – two boys and two girls – and being home rather than away from them is the best thing that’s ever happened. Although, I miss Hawaii a lot. May God bless each and everyone of us.”

BA, Psychology, 2002April works at the Baltimore City Public School System as a certification specialist. She said, “Appointed as a certified approval partner for the Maryland State Department of Education, I serve on a team of human resource professionals whose primary responsibilities are ensuring Baltimore City Public Schools are staffed with certified and highly qualified educators. My family and I moved from Hawaii in 2003, after spending six years there, and it was hard very hard to leave. However, we have adjusted quite well to busy city life and have settled nicely. We know that no matter where we may go, we will always have a home in Hawaii. The ‘ohana spirit lives in us forever. If all goes well, we’ll vacation in Hawaii for the Pro Bowl (2007) – I’ll be sure to stop by.”

“I am currently employed with Subway World Headquarters in their leasing department. I am also a personal trainer at one of the local gyms here in Connecticut. I am currently planning our wedding that is set to happen next November 2003. Matthew has had an exciting year. He is currently living in Louisville, KY training with the World Wrestling Entertainment. After appearing on the MTV reality show ‘Tough Enough’ he was given a three-year developmental deal with them. So watch for him in the near future to be appearing on ‘Raw’ or ‘Smackdown.’ "Even though we are both living in separate states, I actually just moved back from Kentucky, I just couldn’t handle living in a place where I felt out of my element.
