The Center for Medical Psychology (CMP)
The CMP is a site for research and clinical health related services within the Department of Psychology at Chaminade University. It is directed by Professor Tracy Trevorrow (Department of Psychology) and staffed by undergraduate students from the Department of Psychology and graduate students from the Masters of Science in Counseling Psychology (MSCP).
- Research: The CMP’s research mission is to explore the role of psychological, behavioral, and environmental influences on disease and disability. A special focus of this research is on brain-related disorders such as ADHD, sleep disorders, and epilepsy.
- Teaching: The CMP’s teaching and mentorship mission is to provide opportunities for Chaminade undergraduate and graduate students to further their academic preparations for scholarship and service in the field of medical psychology.
- Service: The CMP’s service mission is to provide health related assessment and care for disorders that are influenced by psychological, social, and environmental factors.
