This intensive program of science, math, and computing is offered in partnership with our sister school, the University of Dayton, a world-renowned university in engineering and technology. An initial 2 years of pre-engineering studies at Chaminade is followed by 2 years of Computer or Electrical Engineering at Dayton (in Ohio) for degree completion.

Another university of the student's choice could also be considered for degree completion. Please check with your program advisor for recommendations.
Computer and electrical engineering embody the science and technology of design, construction, implementation, and operation of software and hardware components of modern computing systems and computer controlled equipment including integrated-circuits, telecommunications systems, consumer electronics (DVD, games, PC’s, cell phones, MP3 players, cameras, GPS), embedded aircraft and vehicle systems, power generation and distribution, and other devices limited only by imagination.
Technological advances drive computer engineering. There is now a convergence of established technologies, such as TV, computers, and networking, resulting in widespread access to information on an enormous scale. This situation is crucial to the future for many organizations and bodes well for a successful career in computer or electrical engineering.
