About MSCP

The Master of Science in Counseling Psychology (MSCP) program is designed to prepare graduates for work in the community and schools, assisting children, youth, and adults in adapting to various educational, family, organizational, and societal demands.

Students pursuing an MSCP degree have the choice to specialize in one of three areas: School Counseling, Mental Health Counseling, and Marriage and Family Counseling. The course of study is structured so that all students have a strong theoretical foundation and basic counseling skills before entering the clinical portion of the program during the last three terms. The vision of the MSCP program is to develop qualified, effective counselors while strengthening partnerships in the community.
