Homeland Security Leadership Development Track
The MSCJA degree requires a total of 42 to 45 credits hours. The total varies based on the MSCJA track chosen: 42 credit hours for the MSCJA degree or 45 credit hours for the Homeland Security Leadership Development track.
The core courses are structured to provide strong foundations in legal systems, criminal justice management, research methods, and program planning and evaluation.

The number of elective courses that a student must successfully complete is dependent upon the degree program/track that the student has chosen (outlined below).

The student pursuing the MSCJA degree will complete twenty-one credit hours of core courses and twenty-one credit hours of elective courses. The student pursuing the HSLD track of the MSCJA degree will complete twenty-one credit hours of core courses and twenty-four credit hours of HSLD elective courses.
