Chaminade University of Honolulu in partnership with the Naval Postgraduate School is offering a Homeland Security Leadership Development (HSLD) track for the Master of Science in Criminal Justice Administration degree. This track is designed for federal, state, county, and municipal government officials (civilian and military) with responsibilities in Homeland Security and Civil Defense, as well as for those individuals interested in pursuing occupations relating to homeland security management.

The Homeland Security Leadership Development track of the MSCJA degree requires forty-five (45) credit hours of course-work. The student is required to complete the seven core courses (21 credit hours) required of the MSCJA degree and the eight required HSLD courses (24 credit hours) listed below:
Those applicants not seeking a MSCJA degree, but who desire to earn certification in Homeland Security Leadership Development will complete only the eight required HSLD courses while complying with the program’s academic requirements. Upon successful completion of the eight HSLD courses, students will receive a Homeland Security Leadership Development certificate, signed by the MSCJA Program Director, the Director of Graduate Services, and the Provost of Chaminade University of Honolulu.
