Fine Arts (Minor)

Do you speak through your art? Become fluent with a minor in Fine Arts, which offers a special concentration in Studio Art. The program includes foundational courses in art appreciation and art history, but stresses individualized growth, self-expression and creativity through hands-on courses.

Upon completion of the Fine Arts – Studio Art minor, students will be able to:

  1. Demonstrate the application of skills related to a particular artistic methodology in order to create a project.
  2. Articulate steps necessary to the process of creating works of art. 
  3. Describe and define the ways in which fine arts are an essential part of human culture that enriches their lives.
Pre-Minor Requirements
  • AR 250 Beginning Ceramics
  • AR 255 Beginning 3D Design
Minor Requirements
  • 2 semester hour credits of upper division studio art courses (with the approval of the program advisor)
