Education

Fr. John is a member of the Education Division Team and Chaminade University's Pastoral Campus Minister, carrying out the Campus Ministry's mission to raise awareness of our Catholic Marianist traditions among students, staff and faculty:

• by building a community of faith and service
• by forming partnerships with the church and those with whom we share Marianist sponsorship
• by offering opportunities for prayer, reception of Sacraments, faith development and retreats
• by committing to build a more just and peaceful society through service
• by providing spiritual guidance through listening, counseling, and reconciliation where needed or requested
• and by centering all our efforts in Jesus Christ, the son of Mary, who commanded us to love one another.

Fr. John's extensive pastoral and educational experiences include work as a Director of Music and Litergy, Director of Youth Ministry, Director of Campus Ministry, Director of RCIA, Chaplin, Teacher, President of Chaminade-Madonna College Preparatory in Hollywood, CA., and the Institute for Catholic Educational Leadership Monitor Newsletter Editor. His dissertation was titled "The Theological Literacy, Beliefs, and Practices of Lay Administrators of Marianist-Sponsored Schools in the United States."

In addition to his pastoral service to the Chaminade community, Fr. John teaches in the areas of Theology, Leadership, and Educational Research.
