The sooner you file the more likely you will be considered for assistance. After your FAFSA application has been reviewed, Chaminade will officially notify you of your eligibility. If proven eligible, you will receive an official award letter which will advise you of the terms of your financial aid and when it will become available.

Notice: Changes Regarding Student And Parent Loans

If you will be taking out a loan for college, we would like to inform you that recently enacted federal legislation has made significant changes to loan programs for college students and parents. This legislation will impact all students and families that will take out loans for a college education. See More Information

FFELP replaced by DSL: The Federal Family Education Loan Program (FFELP), the system of private lending guaranteed by the federal government used by many institutions, including Chaminade University of Honolulu (CUH), will cease originating new loans beginning with the 2010-2011 year.

Loans will now be borrowed through the government rather than a private lender. The program is called the Federal Direct Student Loan (DSL). Chaminade will try to make the transition as smooth as we can for families and students impacted by this change.
