The Financial Aid Process, Renewing

The financial aid process is pretty easy for current students who have previously received aid. Remember to file a FAFSA. Your loans will not have to be renewed in most cases. However, some banks may discontinue student loans and in that case your loans will have to be renewed.

File a FAFSA

Remember to file a FAFSA every February or as soon as possible.

Important! Endowed Scholarships

As a continuing student, you are eligible for numerous scholarships only available to our current students! Our generous donors continue to contribute to our endowment funds. Browse through the scholarship book, and apply!

Continuing Your Stafford and PLUS Loans

Stafford Loans: If you have borrowed a Stafford Loan previously, you do not have to re-apply for the loan you see on your award letter. Unless otherwise advised by you, we will certify your loan through your previous lender.

PLUS Loans: Repeat PLUS borrowers can email the financial aid office (finaid@chaminade.edu) if you would like to certify your PLUS through your prior lender.
