Recent changes to the federal student loan regulations have discontinued the Federal Family Education Loan Program (FFELP) and replaced it with Federal Direct Loan (DL).

The financial aid process is pretty easy for current students who have previously received aid. Remember to file a FAFSA. Your loans will not have to be renewed in most cases. However, some banks may discontinue student loans and in that case your loans will have to be renewed.
Remember to file a FAFSA every February or as soon as possible.
