Non-Profit Business Plan Competition

The Hogan/American Savings Bank Non-Profit Business Plan Competition at Chaminade University is open to non-profit organizations planning to start new ventures that will benefit society. Held every other year, The competition aims to encourage excellence in non-profit planning and help make new and innovative social enterprises a reality. The Competition also hopes to stimulate public interest in the non-profit sector.

Chaminade University’s Hogan Entrepreneurial Program and American Savings Bank conducted a Business Plan Competition held exclusively for the non-profit sector.

2010 winners!

1st place ($12,000) - Kaho’omiki: Obesity Prevention Program - Mr. Mark Zeug, President

2nd place ($6,000) - Lanakila Pacific: Printing for Good Project - Mr. Bruce Chong, Employment Instructor & Silk Screen Supervisor

3rd place ($4,000) - Hawaiian Hope: Internet Café - Mr. Curtis Kropar, Executive Director

Most Compelling (100hrs. of free integrated communications services) - Boys & Girls Club of Hawai’i: Wai’anae Clubhouse Productions - Ms. Lana Keamo, Director
