Mike Herb has an MBA in Marketing from Harvard Business School. He has years of experience in consulting, financial planning, networking, and business plan reviewing. Mike's business background includes IBM, Louvau Systems, Prescolite, Alexander and Baldwin, Morgan Stanley, and Dean Witter. He is District Director of SCORE Hawaii, which provides free and confidential business advice and counseling to start-up and in-business entrepreneurs.
Rob Kay is a writer and public relations practitioner with 30+ years experience in Hawaii and the Mainland. Rob has worked with all the major local and mainland press including the Wall Street Journal, New York Times, Businessweek, Forbes, Fortune & many others. He is the founder of Pac-Tech Communications, a boutique public relations firm with offices in both Hawaii and California. An experienced travel writer, he has also written books on Fiji and Tahiti for the Lonely Planet series.
John Gleeson is a retired executive in the mechanical contracting industry. He founded his company John Gleeson Ltd., a Manufacturer’s Representative Business in 1980. Since his retirement in 1995 he has volunteered with the YMCA, Boys & Girls Club, ESGR (Veterans) & Salvation Army. As a FAA Certified Pilot he encourages Hawaii young people to explore the exceptional career opportunities in Professional Aviation.
Pat Bustamante is the former President and C.O.O. of Pacific LightNet (PLNI). Under his leadership, PLNI turned to a cash flow positive company and was the first company to provide Voice over IP service in the state. Successful acquisition of Hawaii businesses provided PLNI's entry into the wireless ISP business in Hawaii. Prior to PLNI, Pat held several positions at Time Warner Telecom in New Mexico. He is currently with TDM, LLC as a Management Consultant.

Russel Cheng is an entrepreneur, startup mentor and advisor with 16 years of experience in Japan and Asia and seven startup companies. He is currently building Dev League, Hawaii's first coding boot camp and Co-Director of the Founder Institute Honolulu Chapter, a startup and launch program for first-time founders. In 1995, he Co-Founded XM Asia, establishing Asia's first interactive agency later acquired by advertising network WPP Group and Founder of Organic Inc.'s Asia operation which had a successful Nasdaq IPO in 2000, now owned by advertising network Omnicom Group. Russel has held executive management positions at Microsoft, Beacon Communications/Leo Burnett Japan, CS First Boston Japan and has worked with C-level customers at Philip Morris, P&G, Coke, GM, ESPN, Disney, Nokia, SingTel Mobile, Heineken, Visa, HSBC and many other Fortune 500 companies. In 2005, Russel was awarded a patent for identify and age verification on a mobile device and was awarded a Cannes Gold Lion, the advertising industry's top creative award, for his P&G mobile application. Russel volunteers as a mentor at HiBEAM, an entrepreneur-in-residence at Punahou Schools, entrepreneur-in-residence at Chaminade University and a virtual professional-in-residence at Shidler College of Business at University of Hawaii, where he earned a Bachelor of Business Administration degree. Born and raised in Honolulu, Russel's primary areas of interest and expertise are in early-stage startups, product market fit, customer acquisition, revenue generation and fundraising.
Rechung Fujihira is a Founder of BoxJelly, Hawaii's first co-working space. He is also a Co-Founder at Blue Startups, Hawaii's first venture-accelerator and has helped to build various pillars of the startup community in Honolulu including Aloha Startups, Startup Hawaii, and Honolulu New Tech Meetup. He has served as a Director at BizSmart Global for the past three years teaching at Punahou School in Honolulu, Hawaii, as well as The American School Bombay and Cathedral St. Connon School in Mumbai, India. His most recent project is Jump School, a pre-accelerator to teach the lean startup methodology to early-stage entrepreneurs. Rechung has studied management, economics and Japanese language at Obirin University in Tokyo, Japan and interned in Shanghai, China at E-Arts. He has a B.A. in International Trade and Finance from Chaminade University with a two year certificate in entrepreneurship. He has been named the Hawaii Venture Capital Associations Young Entrepreneur of the Year and one of the 20 people to watch for the next 20 years by Hawaii Business Magazine. In his free time he enjoys body surfing and karaoke.
