As one
of the largest divisions/departments in the University, or goal,
nonetheless, is to provide our students and faculty a true feeling
of a small Ohana (Hawaiian for family). Currently, we offer sixteen
major and/or minor areas of study as well as two graduate level
programs. |
|
Our mission is to engage
faculty and students in the quest for personal and social meaning as
a basis for compassionate and just service to others. At the center
of the University's Catholic, Marianist, and liberal arts tradition,
we strive to form learning communities that focus on the development
of moral character, historical, literary and aesthetic disciplines
for understanding of self, others and God, while encouraging civic
engagement and service to others. |
