Access Online Databases.

Select

• Select the topic area (Academic, Business, etc.)
  
  • From on campus you can select a database or choose Search more than one EBSCO database.
    
• To search more than one database at a time, check the box to the left of each database name.

Search

At the Basic Search screen, enter your search term(s) in the Find box.

Refine Search

Limit your results (narrow your search):

• Full Text - limits search results to full text articles.
• Scholarly (Peer Reviewed) Journals - limits search results to journals.
• Published date - limits search results to a date range.
• Publication - limits search results to articles from a specific title.

Expand your search (broaden your search):

• Also search within the full text of articles - find your term(s) within the full text of articles.
• Automatically “And” search terms - uses “AND” operator between search terms.
• Also search for related words - include synonyms and plurals.

Search Results

An article is available in full-text if there is HTML Full Text, PDF Full Text, or Linked Full Text under the article.

• Print - use the Print icon in the toolbar above the full-text article.
• Email - select the Email icon on the top right of the page.
• Add to Folder - to save an article or citation.

If the article is not available in full text (citation or abstract only), note the journal name and date of the article.

• Go to the Journal Title List (A-to-Z list). Type in the periodical title to search the library.
• Articles not available at Sullivan Family Library may be requested through Interlibrary Loan.
