ADJUNCT FACULTY

The School of Nursing is currently seeking clinical adjunct faculty in the areas of pediatric, medical-surgical, and maternity. Minimum qualifications: Candidates must have an unencumbered Hawaii State RN license. Candidates with a BSN degree must have at least three years in specialty providing direct patient care. Candidates with a MSN degree must have at least one year in specialty providing direct patient care. Prior teaching experience with students or preceptees is preferred. ADMISSIONS EVALUATOR

Seeking multi-tasking individual with effective communication skills, proficient in computer use and enjoys working with the public. Work includes review of all incoming correspondence, data input, file maintenance, correspondence with students and parents, and participation in Admissionsí events. Bachelorís degree required. Experience in a university setting, working with the public, and prior experience in a team oriented organization preferred.

CAMPUS COPY CENTER / MAIL ASSOCIATE

The position is responsible for the operation of the Campus Copy Center and the fleet of leased departmental Copy Machines.  Assist in the responsibilities of the Campus Mailroom, as needed. The position require individuals with a positive attitude, strong interpersonal communication skills, excellent organization skills, and a willingness to learn new things; a valid driver’s license; ability to use Microsoft Office Programs and ability to operate copy machines.

CLIENT SERVICES TECHNICIAN

Responsible to provide technology assistance and basic instruction in hardware and software use.  Requires a high degree of technical competence, excellent communication skills, customer oriented service, and provides technical assistance to all users.  Experience working with Windows and Macintosh computer environments and knowledge of wireless networking desirable. Associate degree or three years of successful work as a computer technician required, higher degree preferred. Ability to work flexible hours required.

DEAN OF THE SCHOOL OF NURSING

The Dean of the School of Nursing reports to the Provost.  As the academic leader of the School, the Dean is responsible for daily operations and budgetary management; program innovation, implementation and evaluation; faculty/staff hiring, mentoring and evaluation; collaboration with nurse leaders in the program’s clinical partnership model; and community and professional outreach.  The Dean will provide effective leadership ensuring the success in contributing to the teaching, scholarship, and service mission of the University.  Provides effective oversight of the implementation and evaluation of the program (including outcomes assessment) and monitors continuous improvement of the program.  The Dean will represent the University’s vision and mission, strategic levers and policies and procedures to the school’s faculty, staff, students, and to the community at large. The successful candidate will have an earned Ph.D. Ed.D or advanced practice Doctoral in Nursing preferred.  Master’s in Nursing from a nationally-accredited program required.  Holds current nursing license for the State of Hawaii.  Minimum of 5 years in a nursing leadership position, experience in program accreditation; experience in external fund development.  Preferred experience with community and rural healthcare and culturally appropriate healthcare delivery; experience in the use of simulation in the nursing curriculum.  Demonstrated competence in working in a multicultural and multiethnic environment.

GRANT MANAGER

This position reports to the Vice President of Institutional Advancement. Responsible for developing, implementing, and managing the grants program, focusing on private foundations and other funding requests. The candidate must have at least 3-5 years of grant writing, development, or journalism experience with strong writing and editorial skills. A Bachelor’s degree is required; Master’s degree preferred. Excellent verbal and written communications skills, and ability to organize and complete multiple projects under pressure. Microsoft Office software knowledge required.

GRANT SPECIALIST

This position reports to the Accounting Manager. Responsible for the proper, timely, accurate recording and reporting of the University’s federal and state grants. Work closely with grant Principal Investigators, as well as Office of Sponsored Research (Associate Provost of Faculty Development, Assessment & Research & staff) to manage and administer awarded grants. The candidate must have at least 5 years of experience in accounting including at least 2 years of experience in federal grants management/administration. The candidate must also have excellent written and oral communication skills, be proficient in designing financial reports and preparing spreadsheet analysis, and have effective problem solving skills. A Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related business field is required.

SECRETARY
Full-time position responsible for processing, maintaining, and registering students in Special Programs and Field Services Programs.  Setting up meetings and functions related to these programs.  Working with relevant directors to recruit for and promote the programs.  Assisting other students with registration, course information, withdrawals, add/drop, and program inquiries.  Performing general office duties as they relate to Field Services and Special Programs.  High School Diploma required.  Seeking an individual who has the ability to work well with people, has excellent written, spoken and interpersonal communication skills.  The person should also be able to take initiative and work without immediate supervision.  One year in education related position preferred.  Basic skills in word processing (WORD), spreadsheet development (EXCEL), simple database management, and PowerPoint development also desired.

WEB CONTENT SPECIALIST

The Web Content Specialist is responsible for editing, maintaining and expanding web content for Chaminade University’s Enrollment Management Department. Candidate must be detail oriented and possess the ability to work under tight deadlines. Responsible for implementing website initiatives in the Drupal Content Management System by creating and editing written content on the public website. A working technical knowledge of website development and analytics needed to collaborate with the Webmaster to advise/implement good information architecture, design practices and consistent messaging for the public website. Bachelor’s degree with 2 years of work experience required, experience with writing for higher education and/or ability to formulate compelling messages for a variety of audiences preferred.
