ONGOING RECRUITMENT

LECTURERS

Chaminade is seeking candidates for the part time lecturer pool to teach in the evening and day sessions. Specific needs are: Accounting, Anatomy and Physiology, Botany and Ethnobotany, Business, College Algebra, Economics, English (expository writing), Environmental Botany, History, Human Nutrition, Human Resource Management, Interior Design (drafting), Management/Leadership, Marketing, Philosophy, and Religion. Requires a masters degree in the discipline and teaching experience at a college level preferred. Submit a resume, transcript copy, and, if available, teaching evaluations. ACCOUNTING ADJUNCT LECTURERS

We are seeking part-time accounting faculty for day, evening, and online courses. Courses are at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. We will consider those with the following qualifications: Master’s degree or higher in accounting, with CPA preferred or a Master's degree or higher in another business discipline with CPA. Professional experience in accounting and teaching experience preferred.

ADJUNCT NURSING FACULTY

Chaminade School of Nursing is seeking qualified candidates for adjunct didactic and lab teaching for Health Assessment course in Fall 2012 to start August 2012. Candidates are required to be a Registered Nurse, licensed in the state of Hawaii, have a Master’s Degree in Nursing with one year of nursing experience in the area of teaching responsibility or BSN with a minimum of three years in teaching nursing. ATHLETICS COMPLIANCE COORDINATOR

Coordinates, implements, administers, oversees and evaluates all facets of the athletics compliance program; which includes the educational, monitoring, and investigating components that ensure good standing and adherence to NCAA, Pacific West Conference and University policies and procedures. Must be familiar with NCAA rules and regulations and possess a commitment to Chaminade University, the Pacific West Conference, and NCAA Division II philosophies. Experience with NCAA Compliance Assistant and Legislative Services Database required. Bachelor’s Degree required, Masters or Juris Doctor preferred.

CLINICAL ADJUNCT FACULTY

Chaminade School of Nursing is seeking qualified candidates for clinical adjunct teaching for Fall 2012 to start August 2012. Responsibilities include clinical supervision and evaluation of nursing students in maternity, pediatrics, and adult medical/surgical. Candidates are required to be a Registered Nurse, licensed in the state of Hawaii, have a Master’s Degree in Nursing with one year of nursing experience in the area of teaching responsibility or BSN with a minimum of three years nursing experience in the area of teaching responsibility and clinical experience in either maternity, pediatrics or adult medical/surgical care. DEAN OF INFORMATION SERVICES

The Dean of Information Services is responsible for all centrally administered aspects of Information Technology at Chaminade University, including budgeting, planning, public relations, and proposal preparation and grant administration. She or he works with the highest levels of university administration, including representing the university's information position to the public, to staff and faculty, and to students.

The areas supervised by the Dean include Educational Technology (including support for distance learning), client services, administrative systems, network and server operations, and systems integration. The University's infrastructure is primarily Cisco and Microsoft based. Our main administrative and student system is Ellucian (Datatel) Colleague, our CMS is Pearson LearningStudio (eCollege) and we make extensive use of LiveText.

The ideal candidate for Dean of Information Services will have a Ph.D. or equivalent terminal degree, with at least five years of experience in leading an information services organization (or a major information services division), preferably in an academic setting. Candidates should have demonstrated ability to build good relations between IT and clients, balance IT needs in a constrained-resource environment, and in building consensus for IT choices among users with varying objectives.

E-MARKETING/WRITER

Part-time position responsible for preparing and editing copy for various publications and websites. Bachelor’s degree or higher preferred. Applicants should submit at least two writing samples. Knowledge of electronic media such as YouTube, Facebook and Twitter is an asset.

MAINTENANCE WORKERS

Three temporary full-time janitorial/grounds keeping positions available for a sixteen week period. Must have a high school education; be able to lift 50 pounds; climb ladders; read and write in English. Janitorial experience preferred.

RESEARCH ASSISTANT

Seeking a laboratory technician to assist in research and instruction in the areas of reproductive health. This is a temporary, one year grant-funded position attached to NIH grants in the area of research and capacity building. Position requires a BS in a biological sciences, and significant preparation in cellular and molecular biology and applications of cell culture.
