As Dean of Natural Sciences and Mathematics, and as a member of the Biology faculty at Chaminade, I hope to be able to welcome you to our learning community. I recently joined Chaminade University, having spent many years as a biomedical researcher and educator of M.S. and Ph.D. students both in Hawaiʻi and in Boston. At Chaminade I was lucky enough to discover a campus with state-of-the-art science facilities, a dedicated and highly qualified faculty, and a very special group of students.
Our students ask us to educate them for life, service and successful careers, and we do just that.
In the life sciences, your preparation for graduate school, and a lifetime of discovery as a research scientist, is made possible by our focus on hands-on, real-world science. Our program prepares students to help solve some of the human race's most challenging health and environmental problems.
In our pre-health program, we prepare tomorrow's physicians and health practitioners for their professional studies.
In our forensic sciences program, students are challenged by one of the most academically rigorous programs in the nation.
In our computer sciences program, students are prepared for our information-driven world.
My journey at Chaminade University is just beginning, I hope you will join me.
