Patricia Kiladis, M.S, R.N, is a nurse educator with many years of experience in nursing practice, curriculum development, and teaching. Most recently she was the Director of the Undergraduate Nursing Program and was a member of the nursing faculty at Northeastern University in Boston, MA.
Prior to assuming the role of Director at NU, Ms. Kiladis served the institution as an Associate Clinical Specialist, taught the Women and Family Nursing course, coordinated clinical faculty, collaborated with clinical agencies in the selection of clinical assignments, secured a variety of clinical placements throughout Boston and its communities and coordinated activities that promoted learning in women’s health and maternity.
Before joining Northeastern, Ms. Kiladis was the Associate Dean of Nursing at
Massachusetts Bay Community College.
Ms. Kiladis' area of expertise is maternal-child health. Over the years, she has been a clinical instructor in maternity; a childbirth educator; and has managed staff and nurse managers in the inpatient clinical areas of NICU, labor and delivery, postpartum, and newborn nursery in a 5000 delivery per year unit. Courses she has taught in her long teaching career include nursing fundamentals, health assessment, pediatrics, pharmacology, leadership and management, and community health.
For two years she lived in Singapore where she worked as a Pediatric Clinical Nurse Specialist, providing the international and local communities with a well-baby clinic, breast feeding education and support. She facilitated and traveled with nursing students to provide trans-cultural nursing experiences.
She has published a number of articles on the topics of pediatric and women's health in several health care periodicals. She is a PhD candidate in Law and Policy at Northeastern University in Boston, MA.
In her role at Chaminade, Ms. Kiladis will initially be helping to develop nursing courses and coordinate the implementation of genetics and genomics content into the curriculum, as well as teaching.
