Pleasant Holiday’s Founders Lynn and Ed Hogan, Receive Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year® Award

(Newbury Park, CA).--- The Hogan Family Foundation announced today that Lynn and Ed Hogan, Chairman and Founders of Pleasant Holidays, received the 2003 Greater Los Angeles Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year® Award in the Master category. The Master Entrepreneur Of The Year award is presented to those who have demonstrated an extraordinary level of entrepreneurship and sustained it over decades of change. The award was presented during a regional celebration at the Beverly Hills Hilton on June 24, 2003.

The Entrepreneur Of The Year Award was created by Ernst & Young to recognize outstanding individuals on a regional, national and ultimately global level. Awards are given to entrepreneurs who have demonstrated excellence and extraordinary success in such areas as innovation, financial performance, and personal commitment to their businesses and communities. An independent judging panel consisting of community and business leaders selects the winners.

In his acceptance remarks Ed Hogan said, “Lynn and I are thrilled to receive this award which recognizes our efforts over the years. We are strong supporters of the entrepreneurial spirit in all people which creates commerce and stimulates the economy.”

The Hogan’s nonprofit charitable Hogan Family Foundation funds the Entrepreneurial Leadership Program at Gonzaga University in Spokane, Washington and the Hogan Entrepreneurial Program at Chaminade University in Honolulu.
“ Entrepreneur of the Year Award winners embrace the entrepreneurial spirit and determination needed to achieve success,” said Tony Radaich, Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Program Director for Greater Los Angeles. “Ernst & Young is proud to recognize and support these leaders and their companies.”

The Hogans are now eligible for consideration for the 2003 National Entrepreneur Of The Year program. Winners in several national categories, as well as the overall National Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year, will be announced at the awards gala on November 22 at the J.W. Marriott Desert Springs Resort & Spa in Palm Desert, CA.
