Chaminade University of Honolulu welcomed seven new members to its Board of Regents and Board of Governors. Chaminade University Board of Regents elected them to office in February. The members completed orientation and met as a group this month. This now brings the membership of the Board of Regents to 34 members and the Board of Governors to 16.
New members to the Board of Governors include Ed and Lynn Hogan, founders of Pleasant Travel Service and Hogan Family Foundation; Anton Krucky, president and CEO of Tissue Genesis, Inc.; Richard Tanaka, Chairman and CEO and sole stockholder of Tanaka of Tokyo Restaurants, Ltd.
New members to the Board of Regents include Clifton Y. Kagawa, Chairman of Broadband iTV, Inc.; Michael Thurston Pfeffer, CEO and Chairman of the Board of Persis Corporation; and Anna Marie Springer, Senior Vice President and Community Liaison for American Savings Bank.
The Board of Governors serves in an advisory capacity. The Regents are charged with a policymaking duty, among other responsibilities. Members are comprised of local and national religious, education, community and business leaders
