HONOLULU, Hawaii, May 30, 2003---Chaminade University of Honolulu (CUH) announced the selection of Charles S. Sasaki to serve as the Associate Dean of Students. His primary role is to oversee Chaminade’s Student Support Services, Student Activities,Recreational Sports, and the New Student Orientation.
A lecturer at the University of Hawai`i Manoa in the Department of American Studies, College of Arts and Humanities, Sasaki is also a doctoral candidate there researching the “English Standard of Schools and the Politics of Language in Hawai`i. He also serves as a student recruitment and community outreach specialist in the Native Hawaiian Center of Excellence at the John A. Burns School of Medicine. Sasaki holds a Master of Arts, Comparative Culture: Asian Pacific American Studies from the University of California, Irvine and a Bachelor of Arts of Arts in History from University of California, Riverdale.
