HONOLULU, Hawaii, September 11, 2003---Chaminade University of Honolulu President Sue Wesselkamper has named Dr. Larry Price Professor of Human Resource Management, In Residence. Dr. Price has taught courses in human resource management for the MBA program as an adjunct professor at Chaminade University since 1985. In addition to his regular graduate teaching schedule, Dr. Price joins the core faculty of the MBA program and will be involved in program development for both business and communications areas.
“Dr. Price’s knowledge and wisdom has been a blessing to our students, mentoring and preparing them to achieve their best.” Wesselkamper said. “He looks for ways to give back to the University through his time and extraordinary talent.”
Dr. Price received his doctorate from the University of Southern California and has taught a variety of classes at Chaminade University. In 1986, he started an MBA Scholarship Fund and has donated all of his salary and money from speaking engagements to the endowment fund.
“I am honored and grateful for the opportunity of getting to know the non-traditional students at Chaminade and help them with their careers before and after graduation,” Dr. Price said.
Dr. Price has won numerous local and national awards for writing and producing television documentaries. He and his KSSK broadcasting partner, Michael W. Perry, have also won numerous local and national awards during the past 20 years in the broadcasting industry. Dr. Price was awarded the prestigious “University of Hawaii Distinguished Alumni Award” in 1989 and was inducted into the University of Hawaii Sports Circle of Honor in 1994. Dr. Price writes a weekly column for MidWeek and is a color commentator for OIA football on Oceanic Cablevision (OC 16) since 1989.
