HONOLULU—June 22, 2007—Chaminade University has been accepted into the prestigious national organization Leadership Alliance. “The Leadership Alliance will help our university to network with leading research institutions across the country,” said Patricia Lee-Robinson, Chaminade University associate professor and Chaminade’s Alliance coordinator.  “Research program opportunities, such as the Leadership Alliance Summer Research Early Identification Program, will provide our students with opportunities to conduct research in more than 20 institutions beyond our state and enhance their scientific knowledge and research skills.”

Member institutions include such leading research and teaching colleges and universities as Brown, Harvard, Princeton, Stanford and Yale Universities, as well as historically black colleges and universities such as Spelman College, Tougaloo College and Xavier University of Louisiana. All member institutions are committed as a core value to an intimate scholarly relationship built upon student-faculty mentoring, through which opportunities for undergraduate research in the biological, physical and social sciences as well as the humanities are promoted.
