Media Advisory for Calendar - Theologian Points to Globalization of Feminist Theology

Honolulu, HI – Feb. 10, 2006—The Reverend Yoshiaki Fujitani Interfaith Program at Chaminade University of Honolulu will feature Dr. Rosemary Radford Ruether, feminist theologian and senior scholar from Garrett Theological Seminary in Evanston, Illinois as its guest speaker on Sunday, March 5, 2006 at the Japanese Cultural Center located at 2454 S. Beretania Street, Honolulu. Dr. Ruether will speak on “Women and Globalization: Victims and Sites of Resistance” at 4:00 p.m. The lecture is free and open to the public.  Donations to help support this lecture series are greatly appreciated. A reception (no host cocktails) at 5:30 – 6:30 p.m. and the Fujitani Lecture Series Fundraising Dinner at 6:30 p.m. will follow in the Manoa Grand Ballroom. The diner costs $100.00 of which $75.00 is tax deductible.
