Military Appreciation Event

HONOLULU—July 31, 2007—Chaminade University, the Counseling and Spiritual Care Center of Hawaii and the Hawaii Association of International Buddhists will hold an “Appreciation Party” to welcome back military service-members on Thursday, Aug. 9, from 6 to 9 p.m., at the Ching Conference Center, 2nd floor of Eiben Hall, Chaminade University, 3140 Waialae Avenue, Honolulu, HI 96816. Open to all military personnel and their family members, the free event will include a light dinner and information on “Project Reconnect,” which will offer future presentations on subjects of interest to the members of the military and their families.

The event will be an opportunity for participants to discuss ideas on topics that might be of interest including possibly:

• Understanding Myself and My Family
• Speaking from the Heart; Conflict Resolution
• Expression through Writing and Telling Stories
• Drawing and Painting
• Clay Work-Ceramics
• Body Movements
• Spiritual Connection and Personal Counseling
• Preparing for Future Careers
• And other areas of interest as recommended.
