HONOLULU—December 5, 2007—Chaminade University will hold its 50th 2007 Winter Commencement Ceremony on Wednesday, Dec. 19, at 7 p.m., in the Neal S. Blaisdell Arena. More than 350 Chaminade students will receive their degrees this December, celebrating their achievements with family members and friends.
The Honorable Judge Thomas K. Kaulukukui, Jr., Chair of the Board of Trustees, Queen Lili’uokalani Trust, will be the University’s special guest speaker. Student salutatory speakers include Sierra F. Williams and Serafin Q. David, Jr.
Chaminade will award the degree of Doctor of Humane Letters, Honoris Causa to its regent, the Rev. Donald P. Merrifield, S.J., who has had a long and distinguished career as a leader in Catholic higher education.
Tickets are not required for admission. The ceremony will also be telecast live on Olelo Television Channel 55, as well as on Chaminade’s Web site www.chaminade.edu.
