Chaminade's Nursing Program provides a contemporary curriculum characterized by sophisticated simulated patient care experiences, informatics, genomics, and cultural competency. The new Dr. Lawrence K.W. and Mrs. BoHing Chan Tseu Center for Nurse Education wil be dedicated in September 2010.
The Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) Program is a four year, full-time degree program. Graduates will be dedicated RNs prepared for work in a variety of health care settings within Hawaii, the Pacific Region and the U.S. mainland.
A significant advantage of the Chaminade program is that first-year students will be admitted into the program from day 1 of classes. It is a four-year progression (rather than one or two years of prerequisites and then competing for placement in an upper division program.) Once enrolled in the program nursing majors are guaranteed placement in all further courses and graduation as long as satisfactory progress is maintained.
