Pre-Med Seminar:
Incoming first-year Chaminade students who indicate an interest in preparing for medical school are enrolled in a special first-year seminar. Throughout the seminar, students explore career requirements, career options, and special programs available at Chaminade. The seminar includes guest speakers, presentations, and group projects as well as monthly individual meetings with a designated pre-health advisor.

Faculty Advisors are Key

We have dedicated faculty advisors who work closely with our students who have indicated a pre-med track. We:

• Identify the goals of the student
• Prepare students with suggestions to enhance their medical and health professions school application.
• Tailor the student's coursework and internships to meet the requirements of the student's targeted health professions school
• Provide assistance preparing for MCAT (Medical College Admission Test), PCAT (Pharmacy College Admission Test), GRE (Graduate Record Examination), and other entrance examinations.
• Encourage their success, through a highly accessible faculty, a dedicated program advisor, and a supportive atmosphere
