Another special project is the Palolo Pipeline, which unites several initiatives aiming to prepare students living in Palolo Valley for academic success. Again, we are working in cooperation with Kapi’olani Community College and the University of Hawai'i at Manoa. The Pipeline gives Chaminade students opportunities to tutor Palolo keiki, forming relationships that inspire learning and early college awareness. Palolo Elementary and the Mutual Assistance Associations Center (MAAC) are two of our main project sites. MAAC is also one of our technological support partnerships that bridge the “digital divide.”
