The Kulia All Stars program after-school incorporates an hour of homework/tutoring time with fun “module” electives afterward.; The modules include art education, physical agility/strength activities at the gym, music, and more.
Good performance in Service-Learning at Jarrett could lead to paid positions at the school.
Jarrett is the FIRST school to make it out of restructuring!

Location: 1903 Palolo Avenue, Honolulu, HI 96816

General Duties: Tutoring in various academic subjects and reading, help with homework and after-school modules in art, sports, tutoring in the AVID program, etc.

Availability- Throughout the year.

HOURS: Monday through Friday, during school hours as well as Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 2:15pm-5:30pm.
CUH Van leaves Campus Security at 2:00pm on all days, except Wednesdays when it leaves at 1:00pm.
If you would like to catch the van, please contact the Service-Learning office first.

Faculty note: Special projects could include planning/executing workshops /educational fairs & projects, helping w/ outreach to parents, assessment projects, professional development with teachers. In the past, we have successfully run programs to teach math and money through playing monopoly; and to teach critical thinking, etc. through CLUE! For info about reviving these programs, contact Candice Sakuda.
