Days & Times: MTWRF, after school, according. to DOE bell schedule

  1. This after-school program is designed to provide students with the extra help they need to succeed in school. Participating students are in 9th through 12th grade.
  2. Many Kaimuki students are from disadvantaged backgrounds and/or from immigrant families, with many other languages spoken on campus/at home.
  3. The FAFSA Assistance Project started here in Spring 2006, with Professor Richard Kido’s Accounting students helping families with college financial aid. Dr. Peggy Friedman’s class helped with marketing.
  4. Through Project Citizen, KHS students identified that the counseling and career prep services were not meeting the needs of the students who could have most used the help.

General Duties: Tutoring in various academic subjects (especially science, math, and english), help with homework
