Student Life / Student Affairs
The Dean of Students Division is responsible for overseeing the functions of the Academic Achievement Program, Athletics, Career Services, Counseling Services, Dining Services, Judicial Affairs, Residential Life, Security, Student Activities & Recreational Sports, and Student Support Services. Together, these departments are linked to promote and enhance student engagement and success. All of these departments are considered the co-curricular areas within the university structure, known as Student Affairs.
The mission of Student Affairs is to foster the personal, social, vocational, emotional, cultural, physical, civic, and spiritual development of our students and to foster an appreciation of diversity in its many forms. We do this by encouraging programs, services and policies designed to assist the growth of competence, identity, self-esteem, responsibility, and personal values. Our goal is to produce a vibrant and active campus, which in turn attracts motivated and qualified students who contribute positively to the campus community.
