Welcome to New Student Orientation!

New Student Orientation is an opportunity for you to be introduced to the Chaminade University community & campus. All new first-year, transfer, and exchange students are expected to attend New Student Orientation.

Our sessions and activities are designed to provide a foundation for your academic and social success by linking you to many campus services & resources. Orientation assists first-year students in bridging the gap between high school & college and offers transfer students an opportunity to easily transition into a different university and different experiences. During Orientation, you will:

  • Explore campus to learn about Chaminade's resources and services;
  • Learn about safety, security, and emergency preparedness on-campus and on O'ahu;
  • Connect with faculty to hear more about academic life at Chaminade;
  • Discover community at Chaminade and our expectations regarding student behavior;
  • Meet other new students and form new friendships with classmates;

'Ohana (families) are welcome to attend as well as we have created specialized information sessions just for family members. As a family member, attending New Student Orientation will help you:

  • Understand Chaminade's commitment to your student's academic and co-curricular success;
  • Develop relationships with other new Chaminade 'ohana and University staff/faculty;
  • Discuss safety and security on campus and prepare for emergency and weather situations;
  • Discover ways to support your student throughout their Chaminade experience; and
  • Learn about academic, social, spiritual, and wellness resources on campus for your student.

We look forward to you joining us at New Student Orientation! We hope that your time at Chaminade University will be filled with brand new experiences, new friends, and new beginnings.
