Responsibilities: Development & implementation of New Student Orientation, CUH 100 (First-Year Experience Course) and Peer Mentor program. Allison also directly oversees the Academic Achievement Program, Career Services, the Office of Student Activities & Leadership, and student health plans. Allison is originally from New York and earned a BA in History/Secondary Education from Adelphi University & her MA in Student Personnel Administration from New York University. Her professional experience at various universities includes residence life, leadership & student governance, academic advising, student activities & new student orientation. Allison has been working at Chaminade since November of 2004 when she began working with the Academic Achievement Program. She continues to look forward to helping students successfully transition into the university environment & thrive academically. |
Responsibilities: Manages the health services program (mandatory health requirements, health insurance applications and information, health & clinic resources, etc.), coordinates usage of university vans and handles requests from those in the CUH community wanting to become certified van drivers. Also plays a key role in helping to coordinate the new student orientation program. Sheela Jane and her family moved to Hawaii six years ago, and she is originally from Malaysia. She graduated from the University of Hawai`i at Mānoa with a B.A. in English and Religion as well as a minor in Spanish. During her last two years at UH, Sheela Jane worked as an academic adviser for freshmen and transfer students, and she is interested in pursuing a career in education. She is excited to have the opportunity to work with Chaminade students, faculty and staff, and hopes to make a positive contribution to the Chaminade experience. |
Responsibilities: Assists with the development & implementation of new student orientation and peer leadership activities. Jamie provides support for CUH 100 (First-Year Experience Course) and helps to design leadership training for Orientation Leaders & Peer Mentors. Jamie hails from the Midwest where she received her BS in Human Services from Aurora University in Illinois. After working full-time in the counseling field for 2 years, Jamie decided to return to school and she is currently pursuing a Master’s Degree in Counseling Psychology here at Chaminade. While Jamie is new to Hawaii & the CUH community, she is excited to support students in having a positive college experience. |
