Responsibilities: Overseeing the identification, selection, and progress of participants; Supervise professional staff; Managing budget and fiscal operations; Communicating with auditors and Department of Education personnel; Advocating for program by serving on appropriate University committees; Planning and implementing project goals and objectives.

Doreen is originally from Huntington Beach, CA by way of Manoa. Prior to coming to the AAP, she worked with the Pua Lililehua Project, a Native Hawaiian Education Act Grant at Chaminade University. She also was on staff in the Academic Support Center at Anne Arundel Community College in Arnold, MD. She has a BS in Gerontology and a Masters in Education from the University of Maryland.

Responsibilities: Development, implementation, and evaluation of the nationally certified CRLA training for peer and professional tutors; Collecting and analyzing tutoring program statistics; Assist in the coordination of the Summer Bridge program.

Alyssa was born in the Philippines and raised in Honolulu. Prior to Chaminade, she worked as a data analyst intern for Mercy Corps Northwest, a major non-profit in Portland, Oregon. She also served as an Education Intern at Reed College, where she coordinated educational partnerships between underprivileged youth in the community and current college students. Alyssa has her B.A. in Economics from Reed College.

Responsibilities: Development, implementation, and evaluation of student life-skill workshops and cultural events; Planning, coordinating, implementing, and evaluating the Freshman Adventure Program.

Responsibilities: Collecting and analyzing eligibility and needs assessment data for Program participants; Assist in management of budget and fiscal operations; Assist in determining grant aid allocation to all eligible participants; Maintain accurate payroll records for part-time program staff.

Nitaya is originally from Saipan, in the Northern Marians Islands. Since 2010, she has worked as the Student Services Coordinator and the Graduate Assistant for New Student Programs here at Chaminade University. She graduated from Portland State University with a B.A. in Business Administration Management and Human Resources Management. She currently is enrolled in the Chaminade University’s Masters of Business Administration Program.
