The Academic Achievement Program (AAP) is designed to assist eligible students in completing their academic goals. It strives to provide a variety of services to undergraduate students, thus enabling them to attain success through persistence and graduation.
The AAP is part of the family of TRIO programs which are educational opportunity outreach programs designed to motivate and support students from disadvantaged backgrounds. The AAP is a Student Support Services program targeted to serve and assist low-income, first-generation college students, and students with disabilities with the goal of increasing student retention and graduation rates. Services provided by the AAP include: tutoring, academic/personal advising, life skills workshops, cultural events, and a grant aid scholarship.
