Career Planning Services

A wide variety of services are offered to students to help them prepare, plan, and secure employment. For more information about any of the following services, please visit the Career Services office in Student Support Services.

COMPUTER-AIDED GUIDANCE TOOLS
Students are able to check out their career preferences by using one of two computer programs:

• DISCOVER is for those students who are lost or totally undecided.
• Focus is for those wanting to clarify or fine-tune their choices.

First, to do either program, you will need to contact Career Services for User ID info. Then, you can access these programs from any computer - either on campus or at home. Contact: (808)735-4787 or email kharp@chaminade.edu.

INDIVIDUAL COUNSELING
Please ring either of the staff to make an appointment for career counseling. Be aware that this is a process, not a one-off event, and may require the student to do some homework to aid them in planning for their future.

JOB SEARCH ASSISTANCE
In addition to workshops, students can bring their resumes and letters of application in for proof reading and checking. Normally we require 24 hours to do this as it has to be fitted in around other work commitments. Appointments can also be made for students to have mock interviews in preparation for real job interviews.

CAREER SERVICES WORKSHOPS
All students are welcome to attend any of these workshops.
