Proper health care is a vital element for every student’s physical development and well-being. To keep our students healthy, Chaminade University supports State of Hawai`i health requirements and offers discounted health insurance plans through the Hawai`i Medical Service Association (HMSA).
New Students: All new Chaminade University students are required by the State of Hawai`i to provide proof of immunity from Tuberculosis (TB), as well as Measles, Mumps, and Rubella (MMR) prior to enrollment.
All students living in Chaminade University housing, students with International status, and intercollegiate athletes must show proof of current health insurance prior to the start of each semester.
Students without automobiles may also qualify for free alternative means of transportation to and from the following health services clinics:

Straub Hospital Honolulu
Kaiser Permanente Honolulu
Straub Clinic & Hospital Hawaii Kai
Queen’s Medical Center
Kahala Urgent Care
The Student Health 101 newsletter, an online, interactive newsletter, focuses on various and current health and wellness tips and issues. Other students and medical physicians include their experiences and expertise in these issues.
