Our students' success is our goal: These awards help many of our most accomplished, hardworking and deserving students to graduate. It is our goal that each and every student achieve their educational goals.
Endowed scholarships are made possible by funds that have been generously given by a large number of individuals and organizations with the purpose of assisting our Chaminade students. To be eligible, current undergraduate students in the Honolulu campus program must fill out a scholarship application and also file a FAFSA to determine need (as well as meet other criteria.) The funds available change year by year and scholarship amounts vary. Typical award amounts are from $300 to $3000. For additional eligibility criteria, see this page.
Devan Rostorfer is one of the recipients of the Henry Zuberano Scholarship and the Chun-Hoon Family Biology Scholarship. She is a biology major and currently employed as a biochemistry research assistant. She is interested in pursuing graduate studies and a career in medical research.
Devan won the Student Service Award for Outstanding Peer Mentor for 2011. She tutors Cellular and Organismic Biology and Comparative Vertebrate Anatomy and Genetics.
Devan is a member of the Biology Club, Scrubs Pre-Health Club and Environmental Club. She is also a Chaminade University Freshmen Experience Mentor, a Freshmen Adventure Program Peer Advisor, an Orientation Leader, a member of the Student Government Association, the Rotaract Community Service Group, and the Honolulu Women’s International Leadership Association.
