The merit-based scholarships described below for freshmen and transfer students are automatically granted with admittance to our full time, undergraduate program. They are based solely on high school GPA, and not based on need. Simply apply to the University, no additional paperwork is required. These institutional grants are given in addition to any aid based on financial need. These scholarships are renewed each year for a maximum of 4 years.

Regents Scholarship
Criteria: Cumulative High School GPA of 3.5-4.0
Award amount, non-Hawaii high school graduates: $6,000 per year, $24,000 over 4 years
Award amount, Hawaii high school graduates: $8,000 per year, $32,000 over 4 years
Presidential Scholarship
Criteria: Cumulative High School GPA of 3.0-3.49
Award amount, non-Hawaii high school graduates: $5,500 per year or $22,000 over 4 years
Award amount, Hawaii high school graduates: $6,500 per year or $26,000 over 4 years
Leadership Award
Criteria: Cumulative High School GPA of 2.5-2.99
Award amount, non-Hawaii high school graduates: $4500 per year or $18,000 over 4 years

Award amount, Hawaii high school graduates: $5000 per year or $20,000 over 4 years
Transfer Grant
Criteria: A GPA from previous colleges of at least 2.50 and admission to the university
Amount: $4,000 per year

Eligibility: All students who complete an application for Chaminade’s full-time undergraduate program are automatically eligible to receive a merit scholarship. Scholarship values are determined solely by a student’s final cumulative GPA from their previous institution. Priority consideration will be given to applications received by May 1.
Determining the Award Amount : You will receive confirmation of the scholarship you have been awarded upon acceptance to Chaminade, and the amount will be provisionally granted based on your reported GPA at the time you complete your application. The award amount will be finalized when Chaminade gets a final transcript indicating your cumulative GPA and completion of study at your institution.
Maintaining Eligibility: While attending Chaminade, your GPA may vary; however, you will continue to receive the same award amount.
One Best Award: Students eligible for multiple Chaminade scholarships will receive the best university-funded award for which they are eligible.
International Students: Merit-based scholarships are available for international students.
Scholarship programs are reviewed yearly and are subject to change without notice.
