Scholarships at Chaminade (University-funded)

Merit-Based Scholarships

The merit-based scholarships described below for freshmen and transfer students are automatically granted with admittance to our full time, undergraduate program. They are based solely on academic performance, and not based on need. These institutional grants are given in addition to any aid based on financial need. These scholarships are renewed each year for a maximum of 4 years.

  • Awards are based on your cumulative high school GPA (freshmen) or cumulative college GPA (transfer students).
  • To be considered for the scholarship, apply to Chaminade and send in required documents. No additional paper work is required.
  • Your test scores and academic performance are reviewed for the higher award amounts.

Transfer Students

Transfer students with a cumulative GPA from previous colleges of 2.5-4.0 are eligible for the Transfer Grant, above.

Merit awards for International Students

Please note, Leadership Awards are not available to international students.The following award amounts are available to qualified international students:

  • Regents Scholarship, $6,000 yearly award
  • Presidential Scholarship, $5,500 yearly award
  • Transfer Grant, $4,000 yearly award

Eligibility & Other Details:

Eligibility: All students who complete an application for Chaminade’s full-time undergraduate program are automatically considered for a merit scholarship. Scholarship award amounts are determined by a student’s academic performance, test scores and final cumulative GPA from their previous institution. Priority consideration will be given to applications received by May 1.

Conditional Acceptance: Please consult with your admissions counselor for information regarding award amounts.

Determining the Award Amount : You will receive confirmation of the scholarship you have been awarded upon acceptance to Chaminade, and the amount will be provisionally granted based on your reported GPA and test scores at the time you complete your application. The award amount will be finalized when Chaminade receives your final transcript indicating your cumulative GPA and completion of study at your institution and your official test score report.

Maintaining Eligibility: While attending Chaminade, your GPA may vary; however, you will continue to receive the same award amount.

One Best Award: Students eligible for multiple Chaminade scholarships will receive the best university-funded award for which they are eligible.

International Students: Merit-based scholarships are available for international students. Please consult with your admissions counselor for information regarding eligibility details and award amounts.
