The merit-based scholarships described below for freshmen and transfer students are automatically granted with admittance to our full time, undergraduate program. They are based solely on GPA, and not based on need. Simply apply to the University, no additional paperwork is required. These institutional grants are given in addition to any aid based on financial need. These scholarships are renewed each year for a maximum of 4 years. For more details, see Eligibility below. Regents Scholarship
Criteria: Cumulative High School GPA of 3.5-4.0
Award amount, non-Hawaii residents: $6,000 per year, $24,000 over 4 years
Award amount, Hawaii residents: $8,000 per year, $32,000 over 4 years
Nursing: Award amount, Hawaii residents, nursing major: $8,500 per year, $34,000 over 4 years
Presidential Scholarship
Criteria: Cumulative High School GPA of 3.0-3.49
Award amount, non-Hawaii residents: $5,500 per year or $22,000 over 4 years
Award amount, Hawaii residents: $6,500 per year or $26,000 over 4 years
Leadership Award
Criteria: Cumulative High School GPA of 2.5-2.99
Award amount, non-Hawaii residents: $4500 per year or $18,000 over 4 years

Award amount, Hawaii residents: $5000 per year or $20,000 over 4 years
Transfer Grant
Criteria: A GPA from previous colleges of at least 2.50 and admission to the university
Amount: $4,000 per year

Your application for admission to Chaminade serves as the application for these scholarships. Priority consideration will be given to applications received by May 1.
You will receive confirmation of your scholarship with acceptance to Chaminade, and the amount will be based on your known high school GPA. The award amount will be finalized when Chaminade gets a record of your cumulative high school GPA upon graduation.
Freshman merit-based scholarships are available to international students.
Students will receive the one best university-funded award for which they are eligible. Scholarship programs are reviewed yearly and are subject to change without notice.
