Assistant Professor Jeanette Peterson, MSN, RN, is the Simulation Coordinator at Chaminade. Ms. Peterson uses simulation as a teaching pedagogy including developing and running patient care scenarios, leading debriefing with students, evaluating student performance, and working collaboratively with faculty. Most recently, she was clinical faculty, adjunct faculty, and simulation staff at Gateway Community College in Phoenix, Arizona. While working on her masterís degree in nursing education she developed a passion for simulation technologies, exploring simulation as a teaching strategy for nursing education. While in Arizona, she coordinated simulation and lab activities for an ADN program. In addition, Ms. Peterson has taught courses in IV therapy, infection control, health assessment, drug dosage calculations, and medical surgical nursing. In addition to her Nursing degrees, she has a BS in Nutrition from the University of Hawaii at Manoa.
